Recipe Ingredients

1/3 cup Smart Balance Oil
1/4 cup self-rising flour
1- 1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon tarragon
1 cup Smart Balance FF Milk and Omega-3s
1 lb. Orecchiette pasta, cook as directed
1/2 cup fresh spinach per serving

Recipe Steps

Get oil hot and add flour stirring constantly until flour is lightly browned

Lower heat to simmer and if you are using an electric stove, remove the pan from the heat until the temp drops

Add chicken broth and garlic powder and continue to stir. Once the mixture thickens take off heat and add the milk and tarragon and continue to stir/whisk the sauce.

Then put cooked pasta in serving dish and pour white sauce over the top.

Next, take the cleaned and dried spinach and place onto individual plates

Then, spoon pasta and sauce on the bed of plated spinach

Serve immediately
