With a kiss of chocolate in the center, these classic chocolate peanut butter cookies really hit the spot.

This recipe is part of our Chocolate Meets Peanut Butter recipe collection.

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup Smart Balance® Natural Dark Chocolate Creamy Peanut Butter Spread
4 tbsp Smart Balance® Buttery Spread
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
25 Hershey’s Kisses

Recipe Steps

Preheat oven to 350°.

Using an electric mixer, cream Natural Dark Chocolate Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and Smart Balance® Buttery Spread in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add brown sugar; beat until combined, scraping down bowl as needed. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until incorporated.

In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually beat in flour mixture in two batches.

Scoop off dough by the tablespoon; roll into balls. Place 2 inches apart on a nonstick insulated baking sheet.

Bake until cookies begin to puff up slightly, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Remove from oven.

Press one kiss in center of each cookie.

Let cool at least 10 minutes on baking sheet before transferring cookies to rack to cool completely.
