Recipe Ingredients

2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
5 tbsp cold Smart Balance® Butter Blended Sticks
3/4 cups cold Smart Balance® Fat Free Milk and Omega-3s

Recipe Steps

Preheat oven to 425°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Using a pastry knife, cut the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from the side of the bowl.

Place onto a floured surface, and lightly knead 8 to 10 times. Pat or roll dough out to 1-inch thick. Cut biscuits with a biscuit cutter cutting straight down, don't twist. Repeat until all dough is used. Brush off the excess flour, and place biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake on the top rack of your oven for 12 to 16 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges begin to brown.
