Bring a dash of New Orleans to the table! Top with frozen yogurt for a healthier dessert, or add to pancakes for an indulgent but still better-for-you breakfast.
2 tbsp Smart Balance® Non-GMO Buttery Spread
3 tbsp light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp banana liqueur (optional)
2 medium bananas, sliced in half lengthwise
Melt butter in a 10-inch heavy skillet over low heat. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and stir until sugar dissolves. Add banana liqueur and bring sauce to simmer. Add banana slices and cook for 1 minute on each side, carefully spooning sauce over bananas as they are cooking. Remove bananas from the pan to a serving dish, spoon the sauce over bananas and serve. Serve with frozen yogurt or over waffles or pancakes.
